The Lexington Public Library presents The EKU Guitar Ensemble!

The Lexington Public Library proudly presents the EKU Guitar Ensemble on Sunday, February 19, 2023 (2:30-3:30PM) at The Main Branch on Main Street. This acoustic performance features compositions by Andrew York, Celso Machado, Manuel de Falla, Francis Kleynjans, and Carlo Domeniconi. The EKU Guitar Ensemble is directed by Dr. Dennis Davis.

The EKU Guitar Ensemble is directed by Dr. Dennis Davis and features undergraduate and graduate guitarists from Eastern Kentucky University. Their performances have been featured nationally on NPR and regionally on television and radio. They have performed on the Red Barn Radio show and performances outside of Kentucky include concert appearances in Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, and North Carolina. Their performances have garnered praise from world renown guitarists such as William Kanengiser, Joseph Hagedorn, and Marcin Dylla. Their other invited performances include appearances at the Mid-America Guitar Ensemble Festival, the Frankfort Arts Foundation, and pre-concert music for Pepe Romero (Centre College), the Barcelona Guitar Orchestra, and The Lexington Philharmonic Orchestra (Singletary Center for the Arts). Visit http://www.guitar.eku.edu/.
